My Story

The woman who
disappeared and came back

I poured everything into everyone else. And somewhere along the way, I disappeared.

Hi, I’m Sathiya

I help mothers remember
who they were before the world
told them to shrink.

For most of my life, I believed being a good person meant making everyone else happy. I rarely said no. I put everyone else first. I told myself that was what love looked like.

It took becoming a mother of three, raising my family abroad without a support network, and running on empty for years before I finally asked the question that changed everything: What about me?

That question was not selfish. It was the beginning of everything.

I became a mum of three, balanced a career in IT, and raised my family abroad without the support of extended family. Like so many mothers, I poured everything into everyone else, my children, my family, my work. And somewhere along the way, I disappeared.

The turning point came after my third child. With three children and two working parents, constantly saying yes to everyone simply wasn’t sustainable anymore. We had no choice but to create boundaries, protect our time, and make space for our own wellbeing. At first, it felt uncomfortable, even selfish. But something unexpected happened.

As I stopped living to meet everyone else’s expectations, I started reconnecting with myself.

I discovered that boundaries don’t push people away. They protect what matters most. I realised that putting myself on the list didn’t make me a worse mum. It made me a calmer, happier, more present one. That single shift changed everything.

My confidence grew. My decisions became clearer. I stopped seeking permission to live the life I wanted and began making choices that aligned with my values instead of other people’s expectations. Eventually, I even found the courage to walk away from a successful six-figure career that no longer fulfilled me. I chose to pursue work with greater purpose.

Today, I help mothers do the same. Not by becoming someone new, but by reconnecting with the woman they’ve always been, beneath the responsibilities, the expectations and the endless giving.

I’m here to help mothers flip that script, rebuild their confidence, and create a life that feels fulfilling, not just for everyone around them, but for themselves too.

When you stop living to meet everyone else’s expectations and start living in alignment with your own values, you don’t just rediscover yourself. You become the role model your children were meant to see.
